HELLO, MY NAME IS VANESSA, AND I’M A FILMMAKER/ BONJOUR, JE M’APPELLE VANESSA, ET JE SUIS RÉALISATRICE.

Currently based in Montreal, Vanessa grew up in Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Her work is deeply inspired by the influence of territories, cultural roots, life experiences, and the larger sociopolitical significance of the everyday life on individual trajectories.

With over 15 years of experience in the creative field across a wide range of disciplines, she worked as a journalist and as an advertising creative for several years before becoming a filmmaker. She is recognized for her emotional storytelling skills, her ability to work with open castings and first time actors, and her true-to-life aesthetic.

A multidisciplinary creative, Vanessa writes and edits most of her work. She works in advertising, TV, film, and develops projects in both documentary and fiction.
Her documentary TV show Sexugénaires, exploring the intimacy of senior citizens, currently airs on TV5+. She is currently working on the post-production of Géants, a 6 episode fiction she co-wrote & directed set to air on Télé-Québec at the end of 2026.
